Stir Fry Night!

My favorite kind of night...
So easy, so tasty! What's not to love?

Oh & a special thanks to Uncle Ben and his microwaveable rice, which saved us from this situation which happens EVERY TIME:

Me: "I'm not going to burn the rice this time."
Jonathan: "(insert charming, witty quip)"
Me: "Nope, no sir, uh uh, not gonna burn it."
*30 minutes later*
Me yelling from the kitchen: "BAAAH!"

Seriously. Rice is the one thing I will always, ALWAYS screw up.

Inspired by Jenny...

I made One-Eyed Susans this morning - apparently they also call this Popeye, egg in a basket, toad in the hole, hen in a nest, cowboy egg, moon egg, and one-eyed jack. Yeah, that's right. I wikipediaed that.

This was one of the first things Jonathan ever made for me when we first met in the dorms. I had never had them before & didn't think I'd like it - now it's one of our favorite weekend breakfasts!

If you've never had it, all it is is a fried egg inside toast - one of my favorite parts is the little toasted bread square! I save it for the end. :)

Not Sure About This Blogging Thing..

But I'll give it a shot. I wish I had pictures to post but my iPhoto won't open. My computer is dying a slow death and I need to get it more memory! Then again, if I was going to post pictures, I don't know what they would be. I'm not quite sure what the point of my blog is yet. Hmm.

A few things going on in my life:

1) I'm taking piano lessons. I dread them, but they're good for me. I've 75% mastered The Entertainer and I'm moving on to brush up on Clair de Lune... I learned it 4 years ago, but now I feel like I have a different perspective on reading music so I want to re-learn it. :)

2) I've been trying to do more cooking. (Note: *trying)

3) I'm making it my life's mission to catch the cat who hangs out in the early morning in front of our apartment. Every week I open the door to go to work, just in time to see it's tail flinging around the corner. One of these days...
